Tamil Milagai Podi

  • Fry some mungo beans (1cup) and some peanuts (1/4 cup) in an empty vessel, until they turn reddish and keep them aside.  
  • Then, pour some oil (2 teaspoons) into the same vessel and fry in it 15 dry chilies along with some sesame.  
  • Then add the fried mungo beans and peanuts to this.  
  • Add further some salt (2 teaspoons), a pinch of jaggery, and some asafetida.  
  • Grind all of this finely in a mixer-grinder.
